Content Ownership & Rights
Understanding ownership and usage rights is essential when using assets from AIClips. This section explains who owns what, how licensing works, and what rights you have after downloading an item.
1. Ownership of Assets
All assets on AIClips are owned by their original creators or the AIClips platform.
When you download or purchase an asset, you do not own the copyright.
You receive a license to use the content according to the terms you selected (Standard, Extended, etc.).
Ownership remains with:
The contributing creator/designer
AIClips (for AI-generated or platform-produced assets)
2. Your Rights as a User
When you buy or download content (paid or free), you receive usage rights, not ownership. These rights allow you to:
Use the asset in approved personal or commercial projects
Modify or adapt the asset for your work (within license terms)
Download and store the content for future use (if permitted)
You cannot:
Claim ownership or authorship of the original asset
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the file
Share source files as-is
3. What You Can Modify
You are allowed to edit assets for your projects, such as:
Customizing colors, text, layout, compositions
Integrating files into your designs, videos, or branding
Using elements in creative end products
However, modified files still cannot be resold or redistributed as standalone downloads or templates.
4. Rights for AI-Generated Content
If you create or generate content using AI tools on AIClips:
You receive usage rights based on your credit plan or license
You may use the output in personal or commercial projects
You do not receive exclusive ownership unless explicitly stated
AI-generated content also follows platform guidelines and license restrictions.
5. License Limits
Your rights depend on the type of license:
Standard License – Single-use or limited use
Commercial/Extended License – Client work, monetized projects, multiple uses
Using assets outside the scope of your license violates terms and may lead to account action.
6. Creator and Platform Protection
Creators and AIClips reserve the right to:
Protect their intellectual property
Take action against unauthorized distribution
Revoke usage rights in case of violations
7. End Products vs Source Files
You may include assets in final end products (e.g., videos, social media posts, designs), but you may not:
Share or sell the raw files
Allow others to extract the asset from your work
Upload the file to another marketplace or platform
8. No Transfer of License
Licenses are non-transferable:
You cannot give, sell, or assign your license to someone else
If a client or team requires usage rights, they must purchase their own license or extended rights
